Now you'll really have to give me a break!

I know that I am not a consistent blogger. It's just that so much has been going on that I haven't found the time to sit down at the computer for fun. When I'm usually on the computer it's to do homework or check email. So to all of those who actually read this, I apologize. As things have been hectic.

But now I have news to report. I have been in this teacher certification program for a year and a half now. Its for people who have degrees but didn't go through the teacher certification in college. So now you can go through an alternative certification program to get your certificate. But it's just like college in that you have homework and tests and all, and you are also learning a new job at the same time so it can be extremely overwhelming. So as of yesterday I have finished the program. I can now get my standard teaching certificate rather than the probationary one that I have been using to teach. Yea! No more extra homework or Saturday classes to attend. I am SO excited. This last week I was finishing up homework I had been putting off and preparing a power point that I presented yesterday.

Also this week I celebrated my birthday. Adam wrote on his blog that his wife was turning "21." That's not quite accurate. But I'm sure most of you figured that out. The years really have flown by. From month to month it seems like everything goes at a normal pace but when you get to reflect on the years it really does give a different perspective. Adam and I will have our high school 10 year reunion this year. I can't believe it's been 10 years since high school. I mean, I can believe it because so much had happened since then but then again 10 years seems like such a long time. It just reminds me to not take today for granted and to make time to stop and smell the roses.
