I can't believe how fast the holiday season has snuck up on me. I guess I have been so preoccupied. I can't seem to scratch things off my list fast enough because the next thing I know it has grown again. It's like one step forward and two steps back.
Here is a run down of our Christmas "race"
First we celebrate Christmas Eve at my grandma's house with aunts, uncles and cousins. We open presents, eat and visit. Next, (that same evening) we open presents with my mom, brother, sister-in-law and my family.
Christmas morning we wake up at my house to see what Santa has left the girls and we open gifts from each other. Following our Christmas morning with the girls we go to Adam's parents house and open presents with Tammie, Terry, Amy, Alex, and Granny. We usually have a yummy lunch there and hang out.
(Note: my family also gets together again at my grandma's house for lunch but due to the tight schedule we don't get a chance to make it back there on Christmas day.)
Sometime in the following days we have Christmas at Nanny & Papaw's house with Adam's extended family and usually around New Years we take a trip to Waco to see my dad and all my family there where we conclude our Christmas.
That is a grand total of six celebrations.
Also, this year we are going to make a trip to see Adam's uncle during the Christmas break. So, I stand corrected 7 celebrations. This makes me wonder, how many celebrations of Christmas will everyone else participate in this year???
