Tamara has had a rough semester. She has been battling illness the entire time. It all started with the beginnings of an upper respiratory infection. After that was treated she moved on to a stomach virus. Next was mono and then pneumonia, which left her in the hospital for a few days. This week she starting running a low fever again. Adam took her to the doctor and she has some congestion and was given an antibiotic and decongestant. (Not sure what the antibiotic is really for seeing as how we weren't told that she had an infection.)
Since she got a antibiotic we talked about how Tamara and MaKayla were allergic to different antibiotics. I think we have this conversation every time one of the girls is sick.
On the way home last night this is the conversation:
Tamara: So when we were babies how did you know that we were allergic to a medicine?
Me: I didn't know you were allergic. I just gave you the medicine the doctor told me to give you and if you got a rash I knew you were allergic to it.
Tamara: Oh, So that's what I'll do whenever I'm a mom.
Wow! Did that just come out of my 6 year old? She makes comments like this all the time. Making reference to being married and having kids. She's said these type of things since she was 4. She once said @ 4, "I wonder who I will marry?" Tamara is so different than any other child I've ever know. She just beats to a different drum, but I sure do love the music.
